How do cat communicates

In our daily life, human communicates  through their own language. Language can express one feeling, desire and intention. Throughout the world, English is the most spoken language.

But how do cat communicates? Can we human understand what cats want? Below are simple examples on cat language or vocal calls.

1. Purring- is a sign of contentment or for some cats, when it purr means it try to calm themselves down from pain. Purring also can be sign of pleasure.

2. Greeting-Low meow or chirp produced simultaneous with purring.

3. Distress- Often pleads by kittens to attract attention or help. Distress can be produce either in loud and frantic manner, or more high pitched.

4. Attention-A simple meow produce by either younger kittens or older cats. To attract its owner for food (example), it may produce more commanding meow.

Other than stated above, cats can also use its vocal calls as to its protest frustration or even when it happy. So, get familiar with your cat vocal calls by understanding what does every meow means.
